Zak Butler is a threat intelligence analyst on Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) where he has tracked Information Operations & threat actors since 2019. He is an expert on Russian and Chinese IO and IO in the context of global elections. Previously, he spent 6 years on Google's Safe Browsing antimalware team. He is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South.
He can often be found playing old-time & folk music on his banjo and fiddle, roaming the Sangre de Cristo mountains, or walking his dog Rayado.
