The long-running Chinese information operation known as Spamouflage or Dragon Bridge has expanded to US-based alt platforms. Alethea specifically investigated their activity on Gab. In this presentation, we will give a brief overview of Spamouflage activity, our findings related to their use of Gab & attribution, the operations use of various methods to seed and spread content, and the implications of foreign information operations operating on relatively unmoderated platforms that often have specific audiences, particularly in light of upcoming elections.
