David Mainor is a Principal Intelligence Analyst on Mandiant’s Information Operations Team where he specializes in open-source collection and analysis pertaining to suspected disinformation campaigns. His contributions have assisted in the broader understanding of multiple high-profile campaigns, including the Mandiant-dubbed “Ghostwriter” campaign. In addition to his role at Mandiant, David is also a Non-Resident Fellow at George Washington University’s Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies Illiberalism Studies Program, where his research efforts focus on state- and non-state actors’ use of political violence, propaganda, and disinformation, and a volunteer assisting with Bellingcat’s Global Authentication Project. Prior to his employment with Mandiant, David provided analytical support to a number of federal government agencies within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
